Cruise control master switch

Default Cruise control master switch

Master switch when depressed blows the 20 amp fuse . I've tried everything . Checked all hoses changed the cruise control module brand new.checked all my hoses clips in engine.

You have a dead short to ground somewhere. I would start from the engine compartment and inspect the wiring from the cruise control assembly back. It's much more likely to have a problem near the engine because of all the heat and movement.


Also, does the fuse blow as soon as you put it in, or just when you switch the cruise control on? Determining that will tell you if it's in the supply, or switched side of the circuit.

Looking at attached diagram would think likely problem between switch and CC ECU. Possibly bad switch. May be able to swap with similar switch. Has it worked since owning? Please provide more info next time.
