Default Cruise control steering wheel switch

I'm trying to replace my cruise control switch that is mounted on the steering wheel. How did you get to the switch. I have tried to take off the back cover to the steering wheel with the two bolts but every time i touch the bolt with the allen wrench the horn goes on. Any advice on how to replace these controls would be appreciated. Thank you.

Your probably headed in the right direction but need to disconnect the battery first.

I sen't you a PM on the topic. I have screen shots of the workshop manual which outline the procedure but the file is too big to post. There are issues with the airbag which have to be accounted for when changing the cruise control switches.
