Custom Cabin Air Filter
I saw that there's somewhat of a filter under the windshield, but it didn't seem like it would keep dust out since it wasn't sealed up against the vent. So, I went to Home Depot and got a cut to fit air filter. I cut 3 10.5"x4" rectangles and the plastic backing for support and stuffed it on top of the vent hole under the windshield cowling. Haven't taken it in any dust yet, but it seems like it would cut down on the debris.

I’ve thought about doing something like this as well. One question, though: do you see having to increase the fan speed at all to keep the air flowing at the same level?
I ask because an interesting feature in my Jeep is that for the year mine is, you could actually get auto climate control (in a Wrangler? Seriously?) which I obviously did not get when I ordered mine. However, the key difference is that you can easily put a drop in filter in the air box in the interior to get that benefit, but the downside is it seems the blower motor needs to be turned up a click on fan speed to keep the same air flow.
This is something I’ve thought of doing, but had forgotten about.

Yep! You'll feel less air coming through, but I thought it was worth not having to clean my interior so often.
