So I started building this beast a few days ago, I trimmed the side panels that were already badly dented from bottoming out on them and my plastic bumper finally ripped off from those 2 bolts after getting hung up on a rock.

So the idea was a low profile bumper to match the front, that protected the body and acted as a skid plate to slide off obsticals rather than just get stuck.

Right now the side trim is done and now I need to finish adding the bottom plate and cutting out holes for the lights and a few other details. I used the 2 existing cage nuts and added two more on the same brackets for some extra strength. I will also be adding mounting hard ware that bolts on where the stock hitch bolts to the frame with those 1/2" bolts. Other mounting locations will be added but I'm trying to make it an easy bolt on/off build.

Looks kind of familiar, here is the one I made 9 or 10 years ago.
