Default Custom subwoofer box, amp rack, and front stage build in my D2

This may belong in audio/visual but this is D2 specific so I figured I’d post it here. The 1st and 2nd pic is the mostly finished product and the following pics are from the build process.

So first I started on the subs. This build is all about sq and a little about spl. So I chose Stereo Integrity for the 2 12’s.

Stereo Integrity SQL 12.

The mounting location

What i used to seal the air vent

A layer of fiberglass and stone start of the box

About 5 final layers here

How I got around the seatbelt

Back side near door added

Glass and resin the inside for water resistance and strength

More build pics

Figuring out total airspace

Checking size for airspace math

Front

Back

Front

In truck without face

I only had one sub at first. So I used the gasket for a template

Here you can see the face didn’t sit flush with the fiberglass because I miss measured BUT fiberglass is forgiving and allows me to patch it

Double baffled the front face (2 3/4in mdf on glued)

In the truck with seat down

With seat up

More build pics

I wanted to keep all the tie downs so I made sure to build the box “around” it

Great work, and I don't even have any interest in car audio! I noticed that you have a load space rack suspended from above, I fabbed one of those up too (my first ever welding project), it really helps storage in the back now that you can take advantage of the D2 height.
