I have that all too familiar clicking noise when making sharp turns. It seems to be coming from both sides also. A quick call to a garage that services land rovers tells me that replacing the CV joint can amount to about $800 apiece....the part itself is $470. Does this sound right or should I be getting a second opinion?

it's a private garage. i'm not sure where his source for the parts is though. are the cv joints dealer items only?

Right on Joe. LR has A totally different set up than others. The shop needs to know the correct procedure.
