I just paid about $1500 for both of my front CV joints to be replaced at a private service station (GLB Motorworks) in St. Louis.

 

The left CV joint on my 97 disco is also shot its been popping for a while, some rover specialist (Yorks & Lancs) in Chatsworth, CA gave me a $600 estimate. Something like 270 for the part and 2something for the labor includes some bearings. Im debating if im better off changing the whole axle before the right side goes out.
