Default D1 brush guard on a D2?

Hey just wondering if you can mount a D1 brush guard on a D2. I did some searching and it looks like its possible, but need this mounting bracket? Is this correct?

Brush Bar Mounting Bracket Kit (Genuine Part # STC50192) - Land Rover bolts\clamps\brackets\washers from Atlantic British

Have a chance to pick up a nice D1 brush guard for $150, but I have a D2 so just want to make sure it fits.

Why would you even want it? What purpose is it going to serve, other than screwing your truck up when you bump something.

Well I guess the obvious isn't obvious enough. I would like to stop brush from tearing up my little plastic bumper. Can't afford an off-road steel bumper at the moment and thought this could be a quick and dirty solution for a bit.

I would also like to add a couple lights and need something to mount them to.

So an answer to my original post would be great, and not some dialogue about how this would be stupid purchase (your opinion and I respect that, but a simple answer is all I am looking for).

Not sure about those brackets but you can attach the brush guard by making your own custom brackets if you have the equipment to do so. I think it may be a tight fit as the d II is a little wider than the d 1 as far as saving money of course you can make it work if you have the necessary tools

It will block your fog lights.

Biggest problem you might have is those, when new, were pretty cheaply made and prone to rusting. They offer very little actual protection and really aren't worth the money.

yea but hes got a plastic bumper and he wants to protect it. you all know what crap they are.

but....they're right insofar as $150 is a good chunk of a new or used proper offroad bumper.

i heard craigslist is handy.....
