Default Is this a D1 or D2?

A buddy sent me this about a brush guard he found but this is all I know about it. Can anyone tell me if this is a D1 or a D2 from this pic? Additionally, if this is a D2, will an early D2 guard fit a facelift truck?

I think I had that same BBar on my disco 1! Got it at rovers north 20 yrs ago. Was basically thin wall tube, good for brush and 2 big round KC lights, not strong enough for anything heavy duty....

Yeah unless that brush guard came from DAP Industries (way back in the 90's) the OEM unit's were just thin walled exhaust pipe, with lamp guards, and a LR sticker. They do look nice (classic looking), but in an accident they'll do way more harm vs good. DAP used to make very strong versions and my mother had one on her 89 RRC that killed countless deer without even budging or bending. If you want a classic look they're nice, but if you want protection look at something else.
