Hi all, I'm new to the forum and wondering if anyone could help? I have a friend who as a discovery 04 plate d2. He drove through some water and the m&s lights are now on. He says that the battery as been checked by a local garage and all seems to be fine. I have read through all the information on this forum and it seems that the fault may be with the inhibitor switch on the gear box. Could this be the case with my friends vehicle, If so are they repairable?

If anyone could helping would be most grateful.

Guy's I have sorted the problem out, It seem that the battery was at fault. I used jump leads from my car to the Disco 2 and the lights stayed off. I also carried out a drop voltage test on the battery and it showed it to be weak. "New battery then". Hope this helps.
