d2 2002 wont go over 2500rpm
I have a 02 d2 that has seen some mud and water this spring/summer. It runs but not over2500rpm or so. When I try to give it more gas it bogs down. At 1st I thought I just got everything so wet that i got water in the fuel. But i ran a can of SeaFoam thru it and it is better but not good would like to be able to go over 55mph. Thanks Chris
Sounds like a blockage somewhere in the fuel system or your fuel pump is failing. The engine isn't getting enough fuel to run at those high RPMs. I would lean toward the fuel pump on its way out.
I personally try to keep my RPMs under 2000 whenever possible to help with fuel mileage.

i just went out and reved it in neutral and i could get it up to 4grand but had to pump the gas to do it. if i just tried to floor it it starts to cut out. thanks chris ps is there any way it could be the cat. converter
I have heard that the cat can go bad if it gets banged around. I dont think mine did to bad mostly mud and water around here. Can i try the throttle body clean out thats posted on here for the D1. Thanks Chris
it could easily be the cat, if your exhaust is restricted then itll cause some similar issues... however if it was just getting wet, i dont see it being the cat, take a look at em, see if theyre real banged up. ive seen mass air flows go bad cause the same thing too on these. got a vacuum gauge?
