Yes you can do the throttle body cleaning, this is good once a year maintenance for any car or truck.

Default 02 D2 wont go over 2500rpm

No vaccum gauge or code reader. Live in small South Dakota town with only three shops and none of them will touch it. Over an hour to a town with a import shop and that would be with it running right take 2hrs the it runs now. It started this while I was mudding. At 1st it died then when it fired up the service engine light was flashing and it would only idle ruff if i gave it any gas it would die. After a few minutes the light stopped flashing but was stil on and it seemed to come out of it but i was still on back roads and wasnt going very fast. It was when i hit the hiway and gave her some gas she died again and the light started flashing again. I limped her home and put the seafoam into my tank i had about a 1/4 left. I ran that thru and it seemed to help so i put in another 1/4 tank of gas and put a bottle of injector cleaner in. The service light is on but not flashing. The entire engine compartment was covered in mud thats why i was wondering if i could clean the throttle body like in the post for the D1, just spray a can of carb cleaner in it? Thanks Chris

You need to get the codes read. Any shop or auto parts store should read them for you in 30 seconds for free. You really need the codes. Along with the throttle body cleaning o an induction cleaning but until you get those codes we are kind of playing pin the tail.
