There is a significant difference in price from ultra-powers 20 to smp almost 50 each.

Also checked local pricing for testing and remanufacturing injectors.. with those prices for new ones, not worth it.
I should mention that this type of failure is pretty rare and should be accompanied with lots of other codes. If one injector is leaking very badly, that side 02 will show rich and the ECM will compensate by pulling fuel to the whole bank. The plugs in the other cylinders will be white, and if it is still super rich you should get a LTFT code. Any unusual looking scratches in taht cylinder? You sure its not oily? A pic of the plug would help.

Block stamp on my 2002 has two lines of text. Maybe the difference it the switch in ownership from BMW to Ford between those years?

I'll try and remember to take a better pic etc later on after work (10am here now).

I don't think there has been any O2 codes when I have read them, but I'll have to check if I have saved them on my nano...

Here's the #6 plug

I already cleaned it a bit as I tested the gap.

I had this saved in my nanocom. I think this was the latest after new exhaust and lambdas etc.
It's the first time I saw knock sensor error logged.
Spoiler

Earlier on have had this, but, new exhaust and lambdas have been put in after that.

---
P0134 = LAMBDA SENSOR UPSTREAM
CATALYST BANK 1 DRIVE CYCLE C
OCCURED 2 TIMES
SIGNAL MISSING
FAULT IS NOT CURRENTLY PRESENT
FAULT DETERMINED AS INTERMITTENT
FAULT CAUSES THE MIL LAMP
ACTIVATION
---

Did not yet check the cylinders better for possible damage etc. When I pulled the heads I briefly looked into all the cylinders and did not see any damage, and did not feel a step on the tdc.
What I saw was the honing crosshatch marks still visible in possibly all the cylinders.

Dropped the heads to a shop today, have to wait to hear back from them, maybe even this week for an assesment after they have been cleaned and looked at before any real work done.

Just getting more curious of the number on mine, just because I just can't find anyhting like that anywhere.
At this point, I don't know if it matters anyways..

That top row is the compression ratio marking..

Finally my memory worked and I checked the cylinder #6 for wear, damage, whatever.

Nothing.

Perfect condition, with the crosshatch visible still.

Got a call from the shop I took the heads to.
Nothing major found... YET...

But a few inlet valves have some scuff marks on the stem visible, so a few maybe need to be changed, and the valve seals.

I'll go see it after work today so I'll know what all I need to order.

So, this is what all the intake valve stems looked like.

Guides they said are good.
They had the heads pressure tested and they were good.
Apparently had not checked the level yet.

So, intake valves and stem seals to be ordered.
I checked rimmerbros for them, it's a ~150 GBP shipped with taxes etc.
But they do have a complete rebuild kit that will be ~200 GBP all in.
https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-RB8190RBK

So, I think I'll shoot for the complete kit.

A small update to this.

Got the heads back from machining.
-0.1mm milled to straighten them.
All new valves, stem seals, springs.
One valve guide new and one valve seat ot something machined.

Was prepping to start putting all back together but thought it'd be good to check the timing chain.
... good thing I did, this is what I found

And after that, I thought I'd check the cam...
... good thing I did, this is what I found

So.. yeah... no wonder the engine ran like crap with misfires etc.
I've been told that the amongs other things, that the cam and chain has been replaced upon import registration of this D2 ~1000km ago.. mmm...

But, clean parts are always nice to have.

Some of the old valves looked like this, might have gotten a small cleanup already at the shop. No idea what cylinders these are from.

Oh well, now to wait for the cam, timing chain, sprockets, oilpan gasket etc to arrive from Rimmerbros.
Did I do a massive fail getting an aftermarket cam?

Lifters I'll take apart and clean and order new if necessary.

Cam should be fine, most after.market cams are super mild anyway.
