Default D2 interior forward dashboard vent/grill Q

2004 D2 with a cracked forward dashboard vent - the long black plastic interior vent/grill along the base of the windshield with some sort of round cylindrical sensor in the middle.

Anyone have an idea on how to remove and replace?

Seems like it may be complicated.

Thanks.

i assume that there is no easy way to get to that trim. You probably have to remove the entire dash. If you could only make a stencil and cut something like a carbonfibre look.

I'm assuming the worst too - dash removal.

Probably more trouble than its worth - but that can be said of many aspects of this vehicle...

It's just one of those things that stares me in the face every time I get in it.

Seems easy enough to fix with some fiberglass mat and resin on the bottom side - just getting to it seems like a major endeavor.

Just to give you an idea how much stuff you have to remove. Check this out00 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY FRONT CONSOLE DASHBOARD DASH PAD PANEL ASSEMBLY BEIGE | eBay
Its all part of the dashboard.
It that is really a sore to you, get the mat and just cut the part to cover the front most part of the dash.

Or take the windshield out then fix it.
