Default D2 leaking transmission fluid

Hello,
I noticed a significant leak between the bell housing and the Transmission pan. I got a little closer and saw that one of the 2 drain plugs that sit on the bottom diagonally is dripping red fluid. I did a bit of research and learned that they part of the oil pump housing.

Anybody know what these are for? (It looks like they are plugs for different ZF vehicle cooler lines applications.)

I'm assuming the crush washer has split or something...

Anybody else had this happen?

Those are not for the oil pump, the transmission has a filler plug at the bottom and 2 cooler lines. Maybe a picture ?

I'm not referring to the engine oil pump...The transmission has a housing that surrounds the "transmission oil pump" inside. The cooler lines go into it, along with these "plugs".

I'm not sure how to add a picture to this...

Ah that makes more sense it sounds more like a line leak everything on the transmission is internal, it could be filler plug or drain plug.

The drain plug is on the bottom of the transmission pan
The filler is on the rear side

As well checking the RAVE Manual there do in fact seem to be a bunch of plugs in there 4 of them in fact. And every one has a sealing washer, I have no idea where you would get the washers if one is leaking.

Hi,

Yes...One of those 4 plugs is definitely leaking (only when the engine is running though.) I dried it off and watched it as someone started the engine. Quite easily saw that the transmission fluid begins to "bleed" from around the circumference of the plug where it meets the transmission housing.

You're right about the washer (crush)...but I'm sure I can find something close enough.

Thanks!

@anbran try here https://www.roversnorth.com/category...erter_oil_pump it looks they may have the correct washers - I would replace all 4 if you can
