Default D2 stalling when stopped, won't start

I have 2003 disco 2. Engine runs great but it will sometimes stall and won't start, only after coming to a stop, never when rpm's are up. At times it will start again just fine. The times it won't, the engine cranks fine but it just will not turn over. I suspect either the crank position sensor or the fuel pump relay. Could it be anything else? This problem makes my D2 unsafe to drive and I would appreciate anyone's help who's had a similar problem or anyone who may know the most likely cause or any other potential causes. Thank you very much for your help.

Start with simple things,
Clean inside trottle body ,
Cleat MAF sensor with cleaner, (you can buy from auto part stores)
Make sure sensor plug is connected securely ,
Then if still same you can check other possibilities , like crank sensor , etc
If you have a OBDII reader will be a lot of help for you,

The fuel pump relay is very easy to rule out with this two second trick. Simply, switch relays with a known working one. Swap the relay in front of the fuel pump relay and go for a drive.

thank you "Bom2oo2" & "coors". already cleaned relatively new maf sensor with maf sensor cleaner and throttle body with throttle body cleaner yesterday but it didn't help solve the problem. Also tried switching relays at a time when car wouldn't start, but that didn't get it started either. All were good suggestions that I've already tried. I do not have OBII scanner. Do I need to get one? It would probably be cheaper than getting my car towed to the mechanic and paying an additional $50 to get it scanned.

Other than the Crank Position Sensor, what else could it be? Much thanks again.

My pocket money is on the Crank sensor, but then again. I have a Disco 2, so I don't have any pocket money.

Yes , it's best to invest in a good scanner since you own a D2,
You will use it a lot, & it will save you money in long run,
There is planty of choices, I like my (icarsoft i930). It's made for Landrover / jaguar , & also works on all other cars , it does a lot for for the price, $130-150,
& you don't have to guess what's wrong anymore , it tells you,
