D2 Trouble starting.
On a cold start, it cranks for a long time before it starts, like 10 seconds maybe a little more. I'm not sure what it could be, I have no service engine light on. When cranking, it cranks good, the SLS light, oil light and battery light are all on when cranking, the oil light goes away after it cranks a little. After I get it started it I can turn it off and start it right back up, but if it sits a few minutes it takes a long crank to get it started.
My battery is old I think, its an autozone brand from the previous owner, dirty on top looks like acid over years or something is on top. I also have a oil leak from both valve covers, they seem tight... sadly, so I have to replace them.

When I swapped the relays it still took a long crank time, I noticed a blue crystalized spot around a spot on the relay also, on both the pump relay and fuel pump relay, along with it on the tops of others. Coolant got in there. I think recently, I checked under my hood this morning because there was a decently large oil leak under my truck and noticed there was something ON TOP of my exhaust manifolds. Like something was spilled on them. Could this be my problem?
I think the oil leak is probly just loose valve cover bolts. They need to be tightened every oil change.

I replaced plugs about a year ago, when I first bought the truck. The valve cover gaskets need to be replaced, that's fine by me. I'm concerned with the truck starting, I can turn the key for one second, let it crank once, than turn it again and it'll start. I think its not getting fuel the first turn of the key, then the second turn of the key fuel is available, what could that be?
Here is a test.
One of the next mornings --
Turn the key to on - but don't start it.
wait 5 sec.
Turn it off.
Do this 5 times.
On the 6th time - just start it normally.
See if the crank time decreases.
If it does - fuel pressure in the fuel rail is not staying.

A plug wire was off (unknown why) and the SES light turned on, the first thing I checked was the gas cap, a seal on the cap is cracked just not all the way through. Could this make me lose pressure in the fuel system?
I did this test yesterday night with my father, he told me the fuel system isn't holding pressure as you said. It does take less cranking time and starts on first turn of the key.
I can smell fuel in the rear end of the truck after it runs. Its only at the rear end of the truck, cant smell it at the front. Is there anything I could look for under the truck that could leak?
