Today's "Nice Price or Crack Pipe" used car is a D2 with the back sawed off to accommodate a truck camper. If you are not familiar the "Nice Price or Crack Pipe" section on Jalopnik they post a used car every day and users vote whether they think the offering is a good price or if you have to be on crack to think it's a good deal. This offering is particularly crazy mod and fair warning, you will find the typical "used Land Rover=junk" type comments but it's not too bad.

That's going to drive up demand for D2s as the base to a camper conversion. There's a whole market for overlanders.

 

I’ve noticed this truck on CL in Arizona. Around 23k I think
