Default D2 Weird grinding noise

My D2 recently developed a grinding noise I can't figure out, Seems to be coming from the lower part of the engine, driver's side. All fluids are ok, runs fine. I did belt and pulleys about a year ago, it doesnt seem to be compressor or alternator noise. Anyone ran into this issue? It's getting louder slowly.

Seems to sound like a bad flexplate… i don’t know how to check this but someone here probably does

Agreed, flexplate or torque converter. No good way to check it really. Engine or trans has to come out to fix. Personally I would pull engine and do a engine refresh while it is out.
