AAP has Trico 21-11 blades that are a perfect OEM fit for the Disco II. About half the price of dealer blades.

Oh, PS. Next time you are by a dealer or ordering from Rovers North order a couple of wiper arm clips, they are about $8 at the dealer or $6 at RN. They are always what seem to break on me during the winter. You are hosed when it happens and you don't have one in the glove box. Only option when it does happen and you don't have one is pop off the arm and avoid scratching up the windshield.

The full three piece set (two font and one rear) from Advance Auto Parts comes to $58.94. If you buy the kit from Atlantic British, it's only $34.95. I don't know what the dealer charges, but it seems like you can save considerably by going with AB.

Switch to D1 wiper arms and then blades are about $10 each.

Yeah, I'd order from AB or get silicone ones from one of the other vendors but they are available from your local auto parts store if you need them. People sometimes act like they are impossible to find. After you add shipping to the AB order you are really quibbling over a few bucks anyway. Sometimes you don't want, or can't, wait for it ;-)

I swapped to new D1 arms and Bosch icons, it is awesome! My old arms seemed to have ok spring tension, but I wanted to buy wipers locally. I recommend the swap! Took 15 mins.

I'll search for my post about how I got the Rain X blades to fit on my DII arms with no modifications (I popped the little clips out so it was just the 2 holes on the sides, and the blades come with a plate that slides right between the channel.. and a little clip that slides through the holes and locks everything in)

I'm still shocked that no one has discovered this before. I much prefer the look of the DII arms - spring tension seems to be a justification for arms that let you use standard blade fitment

the spring tension is better on the D1 arms than it is on the D2.

I tried to find the d1 arms from roverguy.com but the site does not have a phone number and AB only seems to list the front arms for $29.95 ea. and do not list a rear D1 arm.

anyone know a good place that has them new?

Mark

Here you go, 15 each brand new

http://www.roversnorth.com/store/p-1...scovery-i.aspx

And the I purchased 2 bosch icon 21inch blades for them.

As for spring tension, my d2 arms tension seemed to be ok but the wiper blades would not fully stay flat especially when driving over 60mph. Now the blades are flat and clean wipe.
