Default D2 won’t start

I had to replace one of the headlight bulbs and the wire was broken so I spliced a new wire and the headlight was working fine and the car started. I turned it off and left it for a couple hours and now it won’t start. When I turn the key all of the dashboard lights light up, the headlights work and the windows work but it won’t try to turn over. No clicking or any noises at all when I turn the key. I tried jumping it and that didn’t work. Any idea what it could be? I checked the starter fuse. It has to be something simple, I’m wondering if it has something to do with how I spliced the headlight wire? Thanks for the help!

If you were working on passenger side head light, maybe you bumped battery terminals. They may be tight enough to work lights and accessories...but not crank engine. Try cleaning/tightening terminals. Also, try moving the gear selector back and forth...and be sure you are in neutral. If not those issues, try jumoing starter.
