tranny can take a pounding, catalytic on the passenger side can take a beating, on occasion it can damage the output on the transfer case, seen a rare one were it was suspected to have damaged the front diff and oil pan. No real confirmation on that though.

For 300 if it's a solid body pick it up swap over the good bits and enjoy.

OK so I think I have a deal on it. He wants to keep a new stereo that he put in it so whatever. The tranny was shredded and the oil pan was hit (thanks army rover). Glad I checked that.

It is an 03 with 115 k miles. Vin matched the bad motor bunch but motor had been replaced. All oil was gone. Coolant was good. I couldn't start it but this guy is a farmer 20 miles up the road and I trust him that it runs. Worst case is I have a motor

I am fairly happy. First green one.

One odd thing. Look at those roof rails. That's not right for an 03 is it?

Well I have never had an 03 but I was under the impression that the 03 & 04 models had the round bars. Maybe I am wrong

04 is the only year they went with the different, thicker round bars. They also changed the font on the “HSE7” to be smaller, not a sticker and above the light. The new headlights were on both 03 & 04.

My shaft just started going, there was something out of balance, we were 1.5 hours away from home. I crawled under and the one beating cap was gone, we made it home, I installed a new one, all good.

If you were near PA, you can get a trans here for $100.

My 01 has over 200,000 miles, original oil pump.
