Default Dangling Rearview Mirror

Went to adjust my the rearview mirror on my 03 Discovery II this morning and it came right off of its mount to the windshield. It looks like the mount took a few pieces of glass with it. I've heard that glass shops have a glue that will hold it in place, but I'm not sure if the glass being broken would prevent the glue from holding. Any suggestions?

call a local glass shop and ask them.

personally, i would think the glass being broken would allow a better mechanical bond as the glue will squish into the broken area and have more to grab. assuming there are no loose bits floating around in there.

do you have a photo of the broken area?

You can get auto glass mirror glue at just about any auto parts store, so you might not even have to take it in.
