DAP Side Steps Any Good?

DAP Side Steps Any Good?
Has anyone installed side steps from DAP on a D2? Specifically the BA129 aluminum ones? If so could you post pics? They're a heck of a lot cheaper than OEM and I think I'd like the aluminum look...just wondering if there's a better pic than on the website. Definitely need side steps for my 5'0" wife and three kids...

For about an extra $100 you could get these:

Thanks for the suggestion anyway!

From that response I assume you're no going to be off roading at all?
The bottorf is ideal for off-roading, but the ones you're looking at are good for short women like you mentioned. Don't try to hit the trails with them though, those will basically ruin your clearance and they will get destroyed if they get hit by a rock or branch.

And yes, if I do any off roading for now it'll be light, certainly not crawling over boulders, limbs etc. Now when this thing get a little more trashy in a couple years I may get it and then - BOOYAH! - time for some fun!
Anybody using aftermarket running boards at all?

Most of the folks on here are busy ripping their running boards off, cutting off the front air dam, lifting their disco, and adding armor. If you are patient and ask nicely someone might be willing to give you theirs for next to nothing when they rip them off. Just a thought. You could even get an old set and rhinoline them and make them look pretty nice, give them better grip, and they would hold up for years to come.

Well, I happen to have a set of OEM running boards taken from my DII. They are the Chevron pattern. Also have all mounting hardware and front mud flaps. One of the (I can't think of the correct term) 4" extensions that the mounting frame bolts to has a sheared bolt in the end, but that could be drilled out and tapped.
I know about what I could get from them on Ebay, but make me an offer?
