Can anyone tell me how you take the dashboard cluster off so I can check the bulbs, and replace if need be? I noticed quite a few lights don't illuminate at initial startup. I guessing previous owner disconnected bulbs to hide problems before selling, to make it look like there were no issues. My dumb mistake for not noticing.
it's 2 screws to remove the cover then 4 screws to remove the cluster from it's mount. Then there are 3-4 wire connectors that you have to remove to totally remove the cluster. the speaker connection on the back of the cluster has to be disconnected also.

thank you for the reply and pics. I finally figured it out. Now my question is how did you get access to the front of the circuit board? I only got access to the back. Is there lights on the circuit board you can replace? My odometer doesn' light up or my 4wd or cdl or abs. Found out why my hand brake light didn' light up. It was covered with tape. Stays o. With hand brake engadged or disengaged. And was taped up as well but doesn' illuminate at all when you initially turn the key to the accessoies. 3/4's of the other light do.

If just the red brake light is on check your brake fluid level. You can carefully remove the gauges from the PCB, and all the idiot lights on a D2 are LED’s, with the exception of the Highbeam Indicator bulb. The illumination is 3 168/194 bulbs followed by the smaller T3 or T5 bulbs for the odometer display area.

Brake fluid is good. Is there a sensor for it somewhere?
just went to the salvage yard and picked one up so I'll see if that works. If not what other options can I look at? Picked up a crap load of relays as well. Any idea if that could be it? Funny thing is there was black tape over the abs light. I pulled it off and the light isn' lit. That's good but I'm wondering if the relay is shot. I pulled the relays from a 2002 d2. I'l see if the relay numbers match up.
