I have seen some take a hair dryer to it , heating and bending the dash back, but bottom line, a lot of them did this as they got older and I don't think you can stop it.

How about a 3" drywall screw? There's got to be something pseudo-solid back there to screw into to hold that corner down ....like a 2" bundle of wires

Seriously though, if the vinyl is delaminating from a rigid dash base you may be able to get in there, clean thoroughly, and re-adhere with an industrial-type adhesive (PL-500). If there isn't a rigid base under the vinyl, the right way would be to remove the dash and put some sort of rigid material beneath it (sheet steel) and fasten down the vinyl with an adhesive or some type of fasteners (screws maybe?). Put a heat lamp on it to make it more pliable so it won't crack when you're working on it. Be careful as you handle the dashtoo. These old vinyl dashes get brittle as pie crust in their old age! Removing the dash would be a lot of work.

I was thinking of cleaning with rubbing alcohol and using contact cement or Liquid Nails, on a hot day, 80-90+.

I believe John Craddock's in the UK sells a finisher kit that will repair and cure the curling problem forever. Give 'em a call. JF

go to http://roverconnection.com/click on the Discovery tab and look about halfway down in the list. There is a dash repair kit for about $60. Just what you should need.

I found one of these on a Disco in the junkyard and got it for $5. I haven't got around to putting it on yet. Partly because I wasn't sure how I was going to get the curl flat enough for me to get the screws started. The hair dryer idea might be the solution. My dash looks like a potato chip! The trim kit looked pretty good on the Disco I took it off of, also looked like it was factory.

You line it up and push it down and start the self tapping screws.
Before I had my window replaced I heated a wire and used
it to melt a small hole to start the screws, this was after
it was held down by by screws in the easy spots to get to.
