Default Dash Warning lights

I have a 2000 Discovery series II. ABS and TC light came on a few weeks ago and took it to a local authorized repair shop (Not a dealer). Shop said it was the ABS modulator and that it would be nearly a grand to fix. Said they go bad all the time, but mentioned I may be able to pick one up on the internet cheaper. I also have a friend who's 2003 Discovery did the same thing and it was his brakes that needed replacing. In my case the brakes checked out OK. The lights don't stay on all the time, but today the Hill descent came on along with the TC and ABS light. Whats up??

Default RE: Dash Warning lights

Your mechanic didn't know what he is talking about and most likely doesn't even have the scanner to check for the ABS fault codes.
If the module is bad look at $2500 plus to replace it. Normally it is a speed sensor in one of the wheels taht is acting and they are alot less.
Go get a good shhop to read your fault codes with the proper scanner and get back to use with the exact fault code numers so we can help you.
