Dashboard Illumination Problem

Hi, message from 15 years later. Just wondeing if you solved the problem after all? I am having the same issue with my 04 hse. Checked all the fuses and connectors but no luck. Thanks in advance

I did. Turns to be the #3 fuse was burnt. But as long I put it a new one, it will be burnt shortly.

Mine was the dimmer switch was bad. might be worth throwing the part at it.

Thanks for the hint! I was looking on Atlantic British but their dimmer switch is getting me confused. We’re talking about the rheostat **** switch right?

That is the wrong switch -- it's a floor-mounted high-low headlight beam switch. Note that it doesn't say it's for a Discovery. The D2 dashboard dimmer is a roller switch.

Mollusk is correct. The switch you're showing is for a Series Land Rover, for dipping the headlights. Not for your vehicle at all.
