Wife's 03 had a dead battery the other morning, threw it on the charger. Unforunately, or fortunately (depending how you view these things), I glanced at the coolant reservoir...it was about two inches low. She'd mentioned the other day that she was smelling anti-freeze once in awhile, but I went into denial mode...since I did the head gaskets before installing engine. The anti-freeze spots in the snow appeared to put the leak on the passengers side, towards rear of block.

Well, opened the hood this morning and investgated issue. Could see where anti-freeze was dripping on exhaust pipe and wet along rear corner of engine. Had a sinking feeling in my gut as my denial mode diminished, but I looked up along the firewall and saw moisture around heatercore clamp.

HURRAY...There is a God...and he is good!

Thought I'd post a happy ending story, seems like our Discovery community's taken a lot of hits lately.

I read the title and figured your battery died leaving you stranded at a cheesy strip mall and to make the best of the situation you went and got a massage at a “massage” parlor...

 

Actually...I believe some well deserved attention from my wife is in order for making the repair!

But, if that doesn't happen and just out of curiosity...where would this "chessy strip mall" be located...lol.
