Default Degreasing Engine: What can't I get wet?

2002 Disco II - I'm degreasing my engine and I just want to make sure I don't screw anything else up. What can't I get wet (and what does it look like, I'm a bit new to this)?

Avoid spraying directly at any of the electronics like the alternator. Other than that there's nothing major to avoid on a D2. The ECU on a D2 is inside the cabin under the dash unlike the D1 that has the ECU in the engine compartment. The electronics like the alternator and starter are sealed so that getting wet isn't a problem but just be careful and don't overdo it.

Why can't you spray the alternator? I spray mine all the time.

Try not to spray Directly into the fuse box. The box right about the jack/battery. Also, try not to spray Directly into the spark plugs, they're kinda hard to get to though.

I just got done degreasing the underside of my motor. I also completely washed down my engine. I did this 40min ago.

I was thinking more of spraying it directly with high pressure. As I said it is sealed so getting wet isn't a problem but I can't imagine high pressure direct spray would do it any good.

Never Degrease and engine, especially the electrical connections.
D2's will take all the cold water soapless pressure you can throw at it, everything in the engine compartment, D1's cant.

I just sprayed the degreaser Right onto the crud that wouldn't come off. Not all over the engine. Just making that clear.
