I'm looking to purchase an off road type pop-up trailer, but I wanted to know how the descent control works with a 4,000# trailer behind it? If I manually use the trailers brakes (using the brake controll) will this disengage the descent control? Are there any potential issues in damaging the vehicle using the descent control?
