Make sure that you use only premixed coolant, whatever kind you buy make darn tootin it is 50/50 premixed.
NO TAP WATER! Tap water/garden hose water is for emergancies only.
Your home drinking water contains minerals and calcium, if you have well water then you have iron too.
All those minerals will clog your radiator.

After you drain it fill your cooling system with the garden hose, and let it idle with the heater on and the radiator cap off for 20 min or so.
Let it cool and then redrain.
Stand on the front bumper and bounce up and down and you can get the rest of the water out.
Then fill with the new coolant and rebleed the system.
I hope that I have caught you in time.

Good to hear Pancho, you are one step ahead of me and one notch better than me.
And yes, that Prestone is just fine.

What about in Disco IIs? Can we rid ourselves of the Dexcool and run the Prestone? Honestly, I have put a small amount of Prestone in my '02 a couple of times in the last year and a half, just to top it off, since I had the 60k service done. Please advise. I have never fully understood this Dexcool stuff and whether or not if was serious or just talk.
