Default DFW Thread

I thought I would reach out and start a thread for those of us in the DFW area. I am in Plano and would like to get to know those around me who are active on the forum, pool resources, help each other wrench on cars, etc... - establish a resource for enthusiasts nearby. If anyone has a need I just bought a Nanocom for the Disco. If this thread is of any interest or if anyone needs assistance lemme know.

I’m from DFW as well. There’s a Rover group called Texas Rovers that has a lot of members in DFW. Might have better luck building community relations there.

I'm 2 hours south by Fort Hood, but my buddy is in Arlington so I'm up there about once a month. He loves the rover so I get suckered in to driving it up each time...

I was a member with Texas Rover’s for a bit, but their forums are quiet. Houston has a LR Club also, but it was all fancy dinners & chit chat vs help fix friends LR’s or serious off roading. After all the crap I went thru with Jeep clubs I’m honestly burnt out on clubs.

We are from the same mould Best4x4. I joined the southern Caterham Club, correction, I took a looksee with a pal, the first and last time, what a bunch of old women. I've never bothered with any club since, it was enough to put me off of motoring clubs for life. I'm a car racer and a fixer not an old waffler like many there. Such is life, you never know until you try.
