DI Cruise Control Gremlin
Gentlemen,
I have a 97 DI. I would open the ECU and check and reflow every solder joint on the PCB. I had intermittent window operation which turned out to be a sevrely cracked solder joint on the ECU PCB. It was not obvious until I pushed on the component lead. It lifted completely open. At rest it made contact giving intermittent operation.
I would imagine the quality of the ecu solder joints for the CC are probably a major contributer to your problem. Good Luck with the electrical gremlins. Also offer praises to the Rover Gods both prior to and after your attempts to fix. I face the sun and bow deeply 3 times while chanting ceremoniously. I feel it helps.
