well the frt seat covers in my 98 DI (leather) are almost shot as the seams are starting to rip apart. Are there any good sources for these ? and can any one tell me if the heated seat elements are part of the original covers or do they mount to the foam cushion ? I guess I would consider having them reupholstered locally if the element could be saved. your thoughts are appreciated.

 

The element can be saved. A local shop is your best bet. Hard to find the squibs for the seats. Might be available in the UK, but I have only found some for a D2. They are relatively easy to pull off and a shop should have no trouble matching the leather.

 

thanks OK, I was hoping the elements weren't adhered to well to the covers as that would change things a lot.
