Default Diagnosing ACE Amber light + Flushing the ACE Fluid

So, I have an amber error of the ACE system and would like to have a go at fixing it. Nanocom returned the following:

(40) Sensor supply signal out of range
(44) Battery voltage too low (main supplty voltage out of range for 614 seconds) - not sure why, battery is in fact good.
(Masked fault) (48) Main relay test has failed

I have slight leaks from the actual actuators and a very slightly leaking valve block, so those are the first things i guess. Will I need a nanocom to replace those things to be able to properly flush and bleed the system? Doubt is has proper ace fluid in there so I would flush it even if I do not fix all the leaks right away, just to protect the system from further problems

Also, to fix the leaking valve block, do I need a new valve block or can I get away with a seal kit (RVW100010). It is leaking from the pipes going into the block from the engine side.

let me know

I also have a leak on the pipe coming into the ace valve block. Where you able to fix it? And if so, how ?

ACE system - what fun!

This is what I did to fix my leaky valve block:

I had the same problem, except my ACE light would go to red and blink with a chime. It would continue until I shut off the engine, waiting a few seconds and restarted. It would do this when waiting in traffic jams, stop and go type driving. I had a leak in the block, due to corrosion of the aluminum according to a local LR indy shop. So led it all with this a rebuild, redesigned ACE block from Design and Development Engineering, Ltd. https://www.designdevelopmenteng.co.uk/.

installed easily, and comes with new valves, filter and sensors. Works great!

Hey markdeg,

Can you explain how did you fix this problem you had a year ago with ACE amber light and error saying: "Sensor supply signal out of range"?

Thanks!

i forgot what the fix for that particular problem was but at the end i replaced all the hoses and fitted standard bsp fittings to solve the leak, changed the ecu to fix an intermittent amber light and then i also needed a new transducer as i had an intermittent red light. i suspect the out of range issue was the transducer

Did you replace the battery? I have the same problem (DTC40) and I think it could be the battery

also make sure the orange plug under the coolant reservoir is clean as that might cause issues. if you have a nanocom you can test by checking the ranges but you need to bridge the relay connector as described in this thread.
