This is what I use. Seems to work well enough.

Well the new Hawkeye total covers everything up to 2015 model year and doesn't require a code for every vehicle and programs key fobs, etc. I think they are about $350 from the U.K.

I wasn't a fan of the iCarsoft LRII. Buggy and slow. I sold it and went with the Lynx. Looks like lynx is also coming out with a new version that is app based. Looks pretty interesting.

I've got an LRII myself and yeah out of the box it was kinda blah. I updated it (an update had just come out that week), and it's been fine ever since. It's mainly for my LR3, but it works fine on my D2.

Has anyone every used Launch ? I use Launch and JLR SDD for my diagnostic needs. Both are excellent pieces of software/hardware and rather inexpensive clones are available

Launch is excellent and has all manufactures. JLR SDD is factory jaguar land rover software and anything that can be done at the factory can be done with this software

Thanks
Frankie

I have the iCarsoft LR II

It meets my needs and I don't need the additional bells and whistles as there are work around for bleeding the brakes and coolant system.

Important note...I almost ordered the iCarsoft BM II for my BMW. Then I thought...Hmm I wonder if my LR version works on my bimmer. Yep, it does.

Launch makes good universal diagnostic systems. Both Autel and Launch are well-known OBD diagnostic manufacturers.

It will access to full modules , i.e

The options you get presented with in the D2 menu are:

- Engine
- Autobox
- ABS (SLABS)
- SRS
- Petrol Cruise Control (Neither the Nanocom or Hawkeye give you access to this module. )
- ACE
- Vehicle Configuration
- BCU & Transmission
- Gauges
- Heated Screen
- Lighting
- Power Distribution
- Security ( Reads the EKA code from the ECU)
- Warning and Sounders
- Washer and Wipers
- Windows and Sunroof

The TD5 Module gives you the standard read/clear codes, live data, and the ability to program injector codes.

The Auto module allows you to read general data and adaptive pressures, and reset adaptations.
.... and much more
