The software installation is a B*%&# but once you get it done (requires PC, not Mac) it's fairly robust for $100. It also works with tons of other makes and models.
Can you actually configure the BCU with it? Such as turning on and off things like heated windscreen and fog lights? What about key fob programming?

If it will do all of that kind of stuff, it is a STEAL.

On my wife's VW I can, but I have not checked on the Disco yet. I will do that as soon as possible and get back to you.

Unfortunately, no, it does not. It reads and resets most codes on most components. It can also run most switches, bulbs, and valves, but it won't do keys or coding.

Disco 2 doesn't have such a message.

My hawkeye and my nanocom can reset the service message on LR3.

I have LR DII, 2004, TD5, manual

I borrowed from a friend nanocom and unfortunately I have a problem,
I can change various settings in the car, but nanocom can not connect to the engine.

I tried to connect another diagnostics computer to my LR engine and also failed to connect.

I checked the socket under the steering wheel and it looks good.
I don't know where to look for the cause of this problem?
Where to find fault? Maybe some cable under the hood is broken?

Do you have any idea what I should check and how to fix it?

Does your friend use his Nanocom for the same model, i.e., D2 TD5? The Nanocoms come with different module apps for D2 V8 Motronic, Diesel, etc.

He has D2, TD5, 1998, automat
and nanocom works with its engine,

but also other diagnostic computer can not connect with my D2 engine,
so I guess my engine is something wrong
