Discoweb used to be great but now it's full of political arguments by keyboard warriors. ugh...
Yea, you would think everyone would just get smart and be republican.

i feel the same way about Discoweb. a great site that has lost a lot of its appeal due to the political rhetoric.

i'd really prefer to keep this site clear of even sarcastic and oblique political comments.

I was a member of Dweb when it first started way back in the day. I never had any issues & I probably had close to 2k in post. Then my account got jacked up & deleted. I then had 0 post to my name & I couldn’t post a single thing without people tearing my post/comments apart. I gave up on Dweb & I’ve been an active LRF member ever since. IMHO this is a much better forum vs Dweb. Yes we still get the usual bag egg every once in a while, but I feel it’s dealt with much better here.

While I'm fine with your suggestion about politics, it's still ok to post bully threads or name calling?

I'm just saying...ignoring people makes a site more respectable than posting threads about members. If respect is the goal then let's do it 100%, not just pick and choose.

There are a lot of young men out there that know very little about cars. High schools don't have auto shop anymore. Men are growing up in apartments, townhouses, or in neighborhoods with CCR's which don't allow owners to repair their cars in their driveway/garage. Most are not lucky enough to have friends to help. I see it a lot on my other vehicle forums. It is easy for us older people to scoff at their ignorance, but we don't realize how lucky we were growing up.

i'm not sure what you mean by this.

i don't recall bullying anyone, calling anyone names or encouraging others to bully or call names.

regardless, i don't have a problem with you. in fact, i've always found your posts and replies to posts to be knowledgeable, informative and helpful.

From another thread -

"sorry but they love the shop and take up your time. You need money or mechanic skills or a combination of both to own one." - DOH
