Default Diesel in a Disco?

Hey all-

Just bought my first Rover last week. 2001 Disco II SD7. Great fun, mileage is as expected, crap (14-15 observed.)

From the forum I realize LR never did a diesel in the US, and if they bring one in the future, I still can't afford to purchase a new one. Does anyone have any knowledge of any diesel conversions being preformed? Any shops that swap? Any resources for info? Realistic here, we don't need a Powerjoke or Cummins. Great motors, but they belong in a big truck, not the rover. How about a diesel one would want, (and could actually install) in a Disco? Thanks for all your ideas and feedback.

Default RE: Diesel in a Disco?

I wish I could install a Powerstroke diesel in my Disco. A couple of my friends have modded PSD F-250's, and those trucks haul ***. Actually, I'm a Ford man, I almost bought a PSD F-350. But, I wanted a Disco, so I finally bought one.
