Default Dif and Transfer case leak.

I have a 2004 SE 60K. I had the 60K service done by a local shop today. Mechanic told me there was a leak from the transfer case and both front and rear difs. It looks damp but not enough to puddle on the ground. Is this at all normal? What could be the cause. The truck still has a LR extended warranty and I plan on bringing in to the dealer. Is this something that they should cover or is this considered a wear and tear item?

Thanks.

I have zero leaks in my defender and my disco. Fix the leaks.

I would suggest you check the fluid level every 2 weeks and see if or how much they are dropping. Remember the diffs only take 1.8 quarts while the t/case takes 2.2 so don't let them drop much and look into replacing the proper seals sooner then later if needed.

Should replacing the seals be covered under the LR certified warranty?
