hello all 02 d2
hello again... just acquired another discovery and this time it is the d2 style (2002) i've taken the time to read over many of the issues that these suv's have, but i can't get TOOmuch info right?
here are the issues i'm coming up w/
-there are very dim lights on in the console/ dashboard! it looks like the abs, a symbol showing a disco going downhill (metaphorically aren't they all!), and another maybe the traction control.
seems that a CEL would be very bright on the dash so i'm wondering if a previous owner tried to pull something on the shop i bought it from. what are the 2 lights for (i know what the abs is)
-looks like the truck was pretty well maintained for only 95k, but there are some leaks here and there under the hood so, i'm expecting some work is gonna be needed (getting an aftermarket warranty to cover most of it i hope!!!!)
-wondering if there is a diff lock to speak of on the d2's, the d1 isold had one activated by the hi/lo selector and the d2.... well i'm stumped
thanx i'll get back w/ more later

Your 02 does not have a CDL, neither did the 03's.
If you are looking for that sort of traction a replacement t/case will be required along with a different shift linkage.
The 3 Amigos, may or may not be coverd, depending on your warrnty and the fault codes.
