Default Diff fill plugs

Im worried while changing my diff fluid i will have to break off the fill cap or as the dealer calls it the level cap. where can i find one other than land rover? how likely is it that i will have to break it off? or should i just go ahead and order it from the dealer being its only 8 bucks

Switch them to brass - FILL PLUG RADIATOR TDI V8 1989 ON BRASS, PLC997, ERR4686 - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts

and make sure you get new o-rings with them.

yes.

also worth noting.

When changing fluids... always open the fill hole first, then the drain hole... it would really suck if you drained the fluid THEN found out there was an issue with the fill spot
