Default Diff Lock

My 03 Disco is the "S" model which does not have the diff lock feature.
I've learned that some of the transfer cases are diff lock capable
they just lack the shift linkage to activate it. I've found the shift linkage
kit at expeditionexchange. My question is; does anyone know how to
look at the transfer case and see if it is diff lock ready?

Thanks

E.

I don't think the 03's had the diff lockcapable TC, but I could be wrong someone else might chime in to confirm. The TC cases that arelinkage capable have a "nipple" on the top of them.

I read in another post that only 2000's and "EARLY" 2001's had that "nipple" and only lackes a linkage to utilize it. I only remember that because I have a 2000 Disco II.

That kit on EE is a major rip off. It's only the linkage, not the t-case itself. For the linkage, look at RoverLandParts, they have them in stock from time to time for $330. Your t-case doesn't have the CDL guts in it so you would first need a t-case sawp or get the needed parts installed in your current case.

E.
You need a t/case as already mentioned, my mechanic has one from an 04 with only 34,000 miles on it, if interested, e-mail me.
