I did mine on the ground, no problem. a transfer pump is highly recommended.

You will need a wobble extension for the fill plug on the t-case. I have the same pump it did not like the heavy 140 weight gear oil, it kinda exploded on me but lasted for the job, I also used 4 4x6 wood beams as ramps and raised the truck 4". Took me about 1.5 he's to do the case and diffs. If its a hot day sit the bottles in the sun for about an hour before you start, thins it out just enough to make it easy to pump.
