Default Diffrence in 45 and 60k maintenance

What is the diffrence in the 45 and 60 thousand mile maintenance? I was reading over Mike's checklist for the 60k and most of that(diffs, t/f case, trans flush, and plugs) were done at my 45k... Didnt get it done at the dealership, had it done at a euro mechanic that has a shop right next to me. So the real question is, are you supposed to do this at 45 and 60? or just 60. Also, are there and good how-to's and/or diagrams/pics for the other stuff? IE:

Flush and change the power steering fluid
Do an induction cleaning
Clean the throttle body

Thanks
