Wow, I knew that most employee's at Best Buy were idiots, but wow.
I get that alot when looking for parts, "Who makes Land Rover?" "Who" "Never heard of them"
And they work at a auto parts store.

Your radio head unit may just be wedged tightly in the opening like mine was. Insert the tools or other clips in the slots until you hear/feel a soft 'click'. Then try pulling on the unit from the cassette opening. I had twospecialty shops try to remove mine to no avail until I tried this method. Goodluck. JF

I just bought the keys. $5 from eBay.

Now I have to wait and stare at this adapter sitting at the house.

I'm sorry but I would have had to school her and point to the land rover badge ans ask her "so whats the badge on that say" I would have had to educate her and explain to her that range rover is a darn model not manufacturer. Man I don't know if it is just me but I get annoyed as heck when people ask who makes land rover. I have had to drop the education on many unknowing. Land rover is the manufacturer, like ford, chevy ETC. Discovery, Freelander and Range Rover are models, like expedition, escalade, tahoe etc. Look at the green oval man! Okay I'm done ranting for now. Better stay in tonight so I don't have to do the explanation thinghy again today.

Had she been at least somewhat educated, I would have. But after the 5min. explanation I had to give about how Alpine made a head unit for Land Rover, I just gave up.

I'll remember that, Chris.

Thanks.

It's a classic case of your experience being directly tied to the luck of who you are interfacing with. If you showed up an hour later or on a Saturday, you may get someone totally different who would know what is going on and help you, pop out the head unit and compliment you on your truck.

This is classic, this thread was started two years ago. The guy went to Circuit City to have the radio removed, CC no longer exists. He probably has blown his motor by now and dumped the truck. Phil
