Yup, the sub goes away. This was an advantage for me because I tote around 1 large dog and one VERY large dog, so any space I can free up for them is invaluable. The change in sound wasn't that noticeable, but I also upgraded the stereo the same weekend so I have no control factor for this experiment.

The panel I have is from Columbia Overland...well worth it!

yeah i have the same panel from columbia overland. photo on my club site i installed it because i carry a lot of cargo and the plastic was all beat up and dirty. plus i am going to make removable mounted items available such as a camping stove and fire extinguisher.

I was thinking of mounting a fold-down shelf for my camping stove - integrated wind break What do you have in mind for your stove mount? Curious...and off topic, I know.
