Default DII Light Mount Bar

Anyone know if this will mount to a 2003 DII without the winch box? The description is kind of vague.

Agreed. But damnit, I'm anxious.

It seems to be just what I've been looking for.

I called Rovers north a while back, three weeks, and they did not have it in stock. They said they would call me when they got more in. A week went by so I got inpatient and started looking around other places. It's actually a factory part from Land Rover but never was available to purchase in LRNA dealers. I called overseas and they all have it, however I was able to find a website where they produced an aftermarket lamp bar and with shipping from England to Colorado it took all of eight days not bad. Here is the link:

Select Discovery II and under product group look under "lights" there are two sections and the second one has the lamp bar. I installed this bar just over a week ago and it works great. Added bonus, even with shipping from the UK, it still comes out cheaper than Rovers North.....didn't expect that with the current exchange rate.

You have two choices to mount it. You can remove the grill or remove the bumper. Then you will need to drill two holes into the bumper and bolt it through. Even though the outside is plastic there is a lining of metal so it will mount well. I had some help from a local LR mechanic. When we did it he said removing the bumper would be easier so thats what we did. If you remove the grill, you would just have to reach under to secure the bolts. The lamp bar comes with some instructions to mount it which states to just remove the grill. If you have the rave cd, it also has instructions under the accessries tab on how to install the lamp bar since it was a factory part. Rave says to remove the bumper. Also, since I cut my bumper, for clearence since I have an 01 DII, I just used my factory fog harness to wire the lights. If you want some pix of how it looks I can probably get some today or tomorrow.

That sounds like what I was thinking.

I also have the facotry fog wiring and had planned on using that.

You basically described what I had in mind, so if you can't get some pics. No biggie.

Thanks.
