DII Shopping Advice
If I was in the market for another rover it would be a tough call between an '01 (w/ CDL nipple) and an '04.
I have an '02 and am in the process of retro-fitting the facelift headlights and grill...
The "holy grail" for me would be an '04 with a Turner engine (or a rebuild w/ top hat sleeves)

I have an 03-04 Grill on my 02 Kalahari with original glass headlights which is the perfect combo to me.
02's were hit/miss with the CDL and it depended on if it was an early made 02 or late made 02. My Kalahari is an early made 02 and I got the CDL nipple.
Out of all my LR's the 3.9L, GEMS 4.0L, GEMS 4.6L, and the Bosch 4.0L have without a doubt been the longest lasting.
My parts D2 is an 03 with you guessed it a destroyed 4.6L (still runs, but it's trashed with a cracked block or slipped sleeve so it heats up FAST). I haven't totally taken parts off of it that would make it a shell or a major project, but if I found a Bosch motor it would be a 4.0L going back into it vs a 4.6L.
